About Albatross Guesthouse

Albatross Guest House was established by Tienie and Siena Visser and their hospitality offered an enjoyable and delightful stay to their guests over many years. As new owner Leonie is committed to maintain the standard and continue to build on the valued relationship with Albatross visitors.

Leonie has spent most of her career as travelling project manager, and having been a visitor to guest houses and hotels around the world has gained an in depth, and personal, travelling experience. She understands very well what her guests will expect to ensure a comfortable stay. This stretches from friendly personnel, fresh, clean and comfortable rooms with good quality linen and towels, not having the same for breakfast every morning, to the flexibility required to meet individual needs.

Accommodation

Albatross offers 4 non smoking double rooms with private entrances, each with a small kitchenette for guests who wish to keep, and prepare personal meals. For those who wish to further stay in touch DStv and Wi-fi access are available in all rooms. Laundry services and airport transfers, will be arranged on request.

Alternatively, breakfast as ordered, we can pack a lunch box for you, and will make a reservation at a restaurant of your choice for dinner. If you do not feel like stepping out for dinner we will order a take out meal, or get one of our well known West Coast chefs to prepare some serious soul food to indulge in in the comfort of the house. We also offer braai facilities in a relaxing garden setting for the visiting braai masters.

Breakfast is served in the main house where the morning papers and news are available for those guests who wish to remain in touch with world events. Wheather permits we enjoy breakfast in the garden.

Our smoking guests are accommodated on the veranda and in the garden where they can relax and enjoy the outside peace and quiet. Unfortunately Albatross is not wheel chair friendly at this stage but have already initiated upgrading to also welcome guests with wheel chair requirements in future.

Activities and Attractions

A splendid 18 hole, Gary Player designed golf course, further enhances, this already famous sportsmans paradise, to a level far exceeding expectations. It regularly draws golfers from Switzerland, Germany, Japan and other countries to play this excellent course.

Due to its close proximity to many other seaside towns, bird sanctuaries, the fossil park, the West Coast National Park and various private game reserves, all within a days drive, Langebaan has indeed become a place of choice for many, South Africans as well as visitors from abroad. Most tourists often make Langebaan their home base, from where they plan day trips to other places of interest.

Wind surfers, kayaking teams, fishermen, and yachting enthusiasts from all over, regularly visit our shores to practice their skills, or, simply just to relax and lie in the sun.

Albatross Guesthouse is conveniently situated in the centre of town, within walking distance to the beach, shops and all the restaurants, the library and banks.

A five minute drive from the Albatross takes you to the Mykonos Casino, where you have a number of eating places to choose from, and which also offers romantic, luxury boat trips on the lagoon. For the "brave hearts" there is also the opportunity of "chance" and who knows perhaps Lady Luck will smile on you this day?

The town of Langebaan, once a "laid back" little village, now has developed to become one of the most popular and vibrant holiday destinations in South Africa. The wide sandy Caribbean type beaches attract visitors and friends from all corners of the globe who come to enjoy the sheer beauty that this lovely lagoon town now has to offer.
