About Amakaya Backpackers
Amakaya Backpackers hostel and self-catering accommodation is 300m from the shops, restaurants and pubs of Main Street, Plettenberg Bay and 800m from the popular Central Beach.
Our upstairs bar and open air verandah offers magnificent views of the Tsitsikamma Mountain range, the lagoon and the bay. This is a great place to relax after a busy day's activities or for the early risers to watch the sunrise. You can also chat with other guests around our nightly bonfire or just laze in a hammock in the garden.
Our communal lounge is equipped with satellite TV and an internet station. Wi-Fi internet is available anywhere on the premises. We are a Baz Bus stop and bookings can be made.

My daughter and I stayed at Amakaya for the second year in a row now and we had an awesome time. Its really like being at home in a different place. Every one is very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the fires in the pub each night - Thanks Terry!! I would recommend staying there anytime to family and friends. A very fun and happy place to stay.
