About Amongst the Trees

Amongst the Trees is a three storey self catering cottage situated 100m from the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens and Emmarentia Dam in Emmarentia, 'The Green Heart of Johannesburg' and 1km from Melville Koppies – 'Joburg's Wild Side'.

Access to the cottage is via a private path and is completely separate from the main house. There is secure off street parking and we have a 24 hour armed response.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Cottage is open planned and we do not allow smoking inside. The Cottage can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children.

Downstairs consists of a fully equipped kitchen with a full oven, separate grill, gas hob, microwave oven, fridge and freezer. The lounge area has two couches that open out into double beds if required. The dining area seats six.

The first floor is double volume and consists of a full bathroom and separate shower, a TV lounge with Satellite TV and a dressing area. This area opens onto an outside patio/deck with barbeque.

The top level is the main bedroom, which overlooks the TV area and is accessed via a spiral staircase and has a queen sized bed.

We are connected to high speed fiber Internet (50Mb) and offer this on a complimentary basis.

Please Note

Access to our swimming pool is restricted for safety reasons and by arrangement. We do have dogs on the property, however, they are restricted to the pool area so that guests do not have to interact with them.

Location

Being located close to Melville Koppies, Marks Park Sports Grounds, The Botanical Gardens and other sporting facilities we boast that we are within 2km of many activities including hiking, running, canoeing, fishing, diving, sailing, cycling, bowls, tennis and squash.
