Built on the edge of a cliff, Ant's Hill offers breathtaking views across the Waterberg. With spacious rooms and folding doors, the thatched lodge blends into the bush but is both sophisticated and comfortable. Ant's Hill can accommodated 16 guests – booked either non exclusively or to one group at a time.
Accommodation
Worlds View:
This is the ultimate bush retreat and is perfect for families of up to five people or alternatively two couples travelling together. There is an en-suite double bedroom upstairs which opens onto a private balcony with a private bath. The balcony boasts beautiful views of the valley below.
The spacious bedroom downstairs opens on to a deck area. The room can either be a twin (two ¾ size four poster beds) or a double (extra King-size bed) and has an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath with a view and an outside waterfall shower. The covered verandah is perfect for relaxing and leads to a pool area with a plunge pool. On chilly evenings, cosy up next to the open fire in the sitting room.
Family Cottage:
The cottage is ideal for families of up to five people. The spacious en-suite master bedroom is furnished with an extra length king-size four poster bed and open plan bathroom featuring a bath with a view and waterfall shower.
The twin bedroom has two ¾ four poster beds and can be converted to a double with extra king-size bed. This room shares a bathroom with the loft bedroom. There is a large sitting room with an open fire place and dining area which open onto a balcony with views over the valley.
Lookout:
Perfect for honeymooners, this gorgeous cottage has an extra length king-size four poster bed. Bunk beds can be added to accommodate two children sharing with their parents. The bedroom has a fireplace and opens out onto a deck which overlooks the valley and a water hole where animals often come to drink.
Hideaway:
This luxury cottage is perfect for honeymooners or couples looking for a romantic getaway, but is large enough to accommodate beds for two children, sharing with their parents. The bedroom opens up onto the outside deck area and there is a cosy seating area inside with an open fire. The deck leads down to a private sunbathing area and a plunge pool for cooling off in the heat of the day.
Eagles Nest:
Located above the main lodge building, this delightful room can be booked as either a twin or double room.
Lodge Facilities
Set in boulders on the edge of the cliff, the heated swimming pool cascades over the lip of the gorge, inducing you to relax there for hours while the main lodge boasts a spacious living area and dining room, both with fireplaces.
A large veranda and deck are ideal for early morning breakfasts and evening sundowners. There is a curio shop for those in need of retail therapy.
