About Apollo At Cederberg Park

Apollo House is a getaway retreat located on the Kromrivier Farm approximately 250km north of Cape Town. Surrounded by fynbos and majestic orange rock formations, Cederberg Park is considered a popular base for hiking, mountaineering and exploring. Splash around in the crystal-clear mountain streams, hike through untouched natural landscapes, and immerse yourself in the peace and quiet of the Cederberg mountain range.

Self Catering Accommodation

Apollo Holiday House in Clanwilliam is a two bedroom luxury self-catering chalet with is a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchen, inside and outside braai as well as bedroom fireplaces for those cosy winter evenings.

Each room is furnished with King-size beds and an en-suite bathrooms are fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. All linen (bedding, blankets and towels) are provided. The chalets sleeps four adults - please indicate if a sleeper couch is required for two children.

The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge, convection microwave oven, induction stove plates, coffee plunger, teapot, braai equipment, a cast-iron pot as well as crockery and cutlery for eight people.

We believe that one can only experience the Cederberg tranquillity with the absence of TV at your chalet. For connectivity free Wi-Fi is available, because we are out of cellphone reception.

From our modest beginnings of serving a milkshake and a toasted sandwich to the far-out off-roading motorcyclist, Die Slee is now equipped with a fine kitchen which uses only the freshest ingredients to provide our guests with top-notch farm style cuisine and light meals.
Join us for tea and cake of the day or enjoy a freshly ground cappuccino.

Come visit the farmstall, besides the variety of deli treats and sweets as hiking fuel, we have Cederberg Park memorabilia, wood , firelighters, and essentials such as toiletries. We also sell Peter Slingsby's comprehensive Cederberg hiking map here.

Attractions

There are several activities such as milking the cows, feeding the pigs to bottle-feeding the lambs in lambing season. Horse rides are available daily and guests can go rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming and birdwatching.

Several hiking routes are available and featuring incredible natural formations of the area which includes Disa Pool, Kromriver Cave, Stadsaal Caves, Truitjieskraal, Maltese Cross, Wolfberg Cracks & Arch and plenty more. For those who love astronomy, the Cederberg Observatory is open to the public on Saturdays, weather permitting. The evening entails a short slide show and telescope viewing afterwards.
