Arundel Studios offer comfortable accommodation in Clarens with spectacular, uninterrupted mountain views. Waking up to a rising sun over the Maluti mountains, you can see the Golden Gate from your bed. Only 4km outside of Clarens you'll find yourself in the midst of pristine nature. It's a place to experience the power of living in harmony with nature. A place to rediscover the meaning of stillness, to experience the richness of natural beauty.

Arundel Studios are set on a 4ha stand with 100m of river frontage and are located within Bethel Estate, which sits atop a ridge that boasts great views of Mount Horeb, Golden Gate, the Maloti Mountains and the Witteberge towards Ficksburg. Roam the open countryside and picnic down by the Klein Caledon, which meanders through our own valley.

Self Catering Accommodation

Arundel offers two self-catering studio's for 2 persons, each with its own entrance. Here you'll enjoy the real ‘room with a view'. The accommodation comprises of a light and airy bedroom / living area with a fire place, dining table and a wall of floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the magnificent mountain views. So no teevee provided!

Each studio of 24 square meters has a queen size bed with cotton linen, an electric blanket for those chilly Clarens winter nights and an en-suite bathroom with towels. A bunk-bed for one child can be provided.

Prepare your own food in a fully equipped hand-built kitchen complete with granite worktops, freestanding stainless steel electric stove with gas hob, microwave oven, and fridge, with our own mountain mineral water on tap, or go to one of the quaint restaurants in Clarens.

The friendly studio's each have a patio with braai facilities, and garden furniture where you can relax and take in the views after a day of hiking, mountain biking, playing golf or relaxing by the river.

The studio's are no-smoking, but ashtrays are provided for the patios. No pets allowed. Daily servicing is not included.

Arundel Studio's are located at a short drive from Clarens, which is well known for the many art and craft shops that offer a selection of curios and original artwork. Clarens forms part of the scenic Maloti Route. The sandstone cliffs, known as the Clarens Formation with their multi coloured layers, are a unique geographical feature.
