About Ashbourne Hazyview
Ashbourne Hazyview lies ideally on the Panorama Route close to Kruger. When staying here you can see the hills within the park from your own private verandah. The lodge is perfectly situated for those guests who need access to the Kruger National Park and all the many attractions of the lowveld and is approximately 6kms from all the shops and restaurants.
Accommodation
The decor is elegant, yet unpretentious; with rock clad walls, cool oxidised floors, white walls, reed ceilings, and crisp pure cotton linen.
Each room has its own private entrance and verandah, so you can be left alone if solace is what you need, or, come and have a drink with us if you need some local travel advice. Your room has a bar fridge, a hairdryer, a kettle, complimentary tea and coffee tray and ceiling fans.
The views are absolutely beautiful. The evening ‘sundowner spot' looks down to the Sabi River Valley, west to the rugged Drakensberg Escarpment, east to the Kruger National Park, and the most wonderfully preserved indigenous trees full of bird song provide windows of view to the north and south.
Self Catering Accommodation:
The Stone Cottage has a large bedroom / sitting room, separate bathroom with bath and shower, and kitchen with fridge stove, dishwasher, microwave. It has a king size bed, and a fold out sleeper couch. All linen will be provided, and the cottage will be serviced.
The cottage is situated approximately 40 meters from the lodge, has spectacular views right up the Sabi River Valley to the Drakensberg, has a small plunge pool set into the verandah, and has a braai area.
Breakfast
Breakfast is of the highest standard. Local fresh fruit, cereals, fruit juice, yoghurt, full English breakfast, and good imported Dutch coffee. You can have it served to you on the main verandah, or if you prefer to stay in your pyjamas, then on your own place of choice.
Hazyview
People love Hazyview as a destination, not only for its natural beauty and perfect positioning for sightseers, but also for the many other attractions such as, golf , river rafting, quad biking, horse riding, hot air ballooning, birding, tree spotting. We also have Africa's longest tree top aerial zip line cable, two elephant sanctuaries, numerous restaurants, exotic monkey and bird sanctuary, and a host of other attractions.
