At Winkfield House, a 4 star graded guest house in Somerset West offers all you need for a fantastic and relaxing holiday. Our location in the picturesque Winelands is ideal; we are in close proximity to sandy beaches, golf courses, the airport and Cape Town City Bowl. We are surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges which offer stunning views over False Bay and the Cape of Good Hope.

Accommodation

We offer a choice of self catering units as well as six double rooms. All accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The units have been newly renovated and are set in a beautiful garden with old trees. Please make use of your swimming pool. Wind down your day with a glass of good wine at our bar or enjoy the sunset with an exotic cocktail on the terrace.

Self Catering

Cape Dutch Cottage
A typical Cape Dutch house which sleeps up to four people in two en-suite rooms (one double bed and two single beds). It has an open plan kitchen leading into the living room, a dining area and a cozy sofa. The cottage has a separate entrance and a large private furnished terrace with a Weber gas braai. The cottage is equipped with satellite TV, air-conditioning, telephones, high-speed internet, a hairdryer and fan. A daily maid service is included and there is secure parking for your car.

Oak Apartment:
This spacious apartment (100m²) is located in the main house. It has access to the main terrace, but also offers a secluded private garden with a furnished terrace with a Weber gas braai, sun loungers and a swing chair. The large bedroom is furnished with a King-size water bed and plenty of cupboard space. The large bathroom offers a shower / WC and a large corner bathtub. The living room is equipped with an American-style kitchen, TV and sofa. Daily housekeeping is included in the rate, and of course, the apartment is equipped with satellite TV, air-conditioning, telephone, high-speed internet, hairdryer and fan. Secure parking is provided.

Bayview Apartment (The Presidential Suite):
This is the largest of our apartments. Designed for two guests, the huge living room is furnished with leather sofas, a desk and fireplace. There is an adjoining dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and spacious bedrooms with plenty of closet space. There is a full en-suite bathroom. The furnished terrace has a Weber gas grill and views of False Bay. Daily housekeeping is included as is satellite TV, air-conditioning, telephones, high-speed Internet, hair dryer and fan and of course a parking place for your car.
