Baywatch Guest House is one of the highly recommended Paternoster guest houses and provides accommodation in 4 guest rooms for anyone visiting the Cape West Coast region.
Baywatch Guest House is in Mosselbank, Paternoster is away from the centre of the village and therefore offers a quiet, peaceful stay. The purpose built Baywatch Guest House is set back from the beach but its manicured lawn runs down to the dunes. The sea is seen and heard from the dining room and lounge.
Baywatch Guest House has stunning accommodation and facilities with interiors, soft furnishings and textures reflecting a unique combination of the West Coast's seashells, beaches and wild flowers, home from home comforts with extra touches to indulge and enjoy. Relaxed personal service and delectable breakfasts are served while watching the sea.
Each bedroom has a private balcony and king size bed. A LCD television, mini-bar, heating, electric blanket, overhead fan, bathroom heater and tea and coffee facilities are available in each room. Our guest house offers four individually theme-decorated spacious en-suite bedrooms.
Please note: Well point water in use
You know breakfast can't be too far off when you smell that tantalizing aroma of freshly baking bread. Along with the home baked bread we offer cereals, yogurt, stewed fruit, fresh fruit platters that are irresistibly presented and a cooked breakfast with eggs just the way you like them. We know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day that's why we put a lot of TLC into it.
Paternoster is a small unspoilt fishing village halfway between everywhere on the West Coast, 150 kms north of Cape Town on coastal R27 via Vredenburg on R45.
Paternoster is an all year round destination famous for its traditional fisherman's architecture, endless pristine beaches, whales and dolphins, sea birds, breathtaking sunsets, foghorn, adventure activities and millions of indigenous flowers which open and densely carpet the earth in bright bursts of colour in springtime. You'll see fishermen with their daily catch, locals offering ‘crawling' crayfish in season and delicious seafood is the specialty in the restaurants. It is home to a variety of small mammals and more than 250 species of birds with the Oyster Catcher using this coastline as their breeding ground.
Paternoster may be wild at heart but offers everything from an ecotourism wonderland to adventure and soul food. We must not forget to mention the magnificent sunsets that we are blessed with each evening. The colours range from soft pink to fiery red, every one is different and each a sight to behold.
What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.
