Tucked away in the Big Five Karongwe Game Reserve, overlooking the Makhutsi River, lies Becks Safari Lodge offering comfortable accommodation with spectacular views and game viewing experiences. This extraordinary lodge has spa facilities and a rim flow pool.

Becks Safari Lodge is a small, exclusive, luxury safari lodge set in about 9,000 hectares of pristine African bush, in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve. The lodge is +/- 45 minutes drive from the world famous Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Accommodation

At Becks Safari Lodge, the emphasis is on space, light and privacy whilst blurring the barrier between inside and out. A seamless integration with nature is achieved with large doors and windows, all opening onto the Makhutswi River.

Becks Safari Lodge offers 11 Deluxe Safari Suites which are en-suite, very spacious with outdoor showers and tea and coffee stations and fully stocked bar fridge. Each room has air conditioning, an outdoor shower, tea / coffee making facilities and a fully stocked bar fridge. All meals, game drives, local wines and beers are included.

During the day, guests may relax at the 20m sparkling swimming pool, enjoy our spa treatment facilities or enjoy the view from our sunken fire pit or main lodge deck overlooking the plains across the river.

Deluxe Safari Suite x6:
These are luxury suites with a King-size bed or twin beds, facing the Makhutswi River. The elegant suites have an en-suite bathroom and luxury décor.

Deluxe Safari Suite (Adjacent) x5:
Two sets of adjacent suites (can be used for families), facing the Makhutswi River. The expansive suite has a King-size bed or twin beds and an en-suite bathroom.

Activities

Traversing over the 9000 hectares of supreme African bushveld, the Karongwe Reserve is home to the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant) as well as a wealth of other creatures. Our open vehicle game drives are perfect for game viewing. Enjoy a sundowner while the sun sets over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains.

The magnificent game viewing makes for perfect photographic opportunities; enjoy the view of the Lowveld from a “kopje” amid the lush vegetation, huge variety of trees and over 365 different bird species. Game drives are conducted with our qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers – who will share their vast experience of the African Bush and a chance to view Cheetah on foot.
