About Big Tree Guesthouse

Big Tree Guesthouse is situated in the heart of Brits where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.

We are in close proximity to many highly prized wedding venues so are an exceptionally comfortable choice for weddings at Zakopane, Jeannelies, Camelot, Altydgoed, Fatherland, Blaupoort and many more in and around Brits and Hartebeespoort.

Because of our location we are exceptionally comfortable for corporate guests working in the area who need a home away from home. We offer daily cooked meals, lunch packs and a peaceful overnight stay after a long days hard work.

Accommodation

We offer seven comfortable rooms, en-suite bathrooms, tea, coffee and rusks, DStv channels, bar fridges and microwaves. The establishment is peacefully nestled in a beautifully tranquil garden and each room has its own private entrance.

Activities

We are only 20 minutes from Hartebeespoort with all the tourist attractions it has to offer. The aerial cable way in ‘Harties' takes you to what is known as the cleanest air, known to be very therapeutic for asthmatics, in South Africa on top of the mountain overlooking the exquisite valley below!

Pretoria and Johannesburg are only an hour away. Ann van Dyk's Cheetah Centre at de Wildt is one of the greatest success stories in the conservation of Africa's cheetahs, with ambassadors for the centre and wild dogs to name but a few of the highlights. You can also spend the day at Tant Malies se winkel, browsing for delicious homemade treats or stop for a cup of boere troos!

There are numerous art galleries, featuring great South African artists nestled in foothills of our beautiful and diverse koppies! Feed and walk with the elephants at the Elephant Sanctuary or visit the Monkey Sanctuary or even the lions at Ukhutula Lion Sanctuary.
