About Blackbrook Cottages
Blackbrook Cottages is a 74ha working farm, situated just outside of Underberg on the Bushmans Nek Road. There are three stocked trout dams on the farm; we feed the fish every evening and guests are welcome to join us for feeding and watch them jump! Guests are also welcome to fish, as long as you kindly adhere to the catch and release system.
Self Catering Accommodation
Choose one of the self-catering cottages which cater for families and couples, looking to get away from the city. The cottages are cosy, stone-clad, thatched cottages tucked away on a private portion of the farm.
The self-catering cottages are pet-friendly and offer well equipped kitchens, open-plan lounge and dining areas, patios, and braai facilities (please bring your own firewood and charcoal). The cottages each have their own fully fenced garden, so they are perfect pet-friendly accommodation.
Bedrooms offer wall panel heaters, extra blankets and hot water bottles for cold winter nights. There is a portable gas heater/cottage but please note that there is a surcharge for gas over and above the accommodation cost (or guests may bring their own 9kg gas bottle). There are no fireplaces inside the cottages.
The kitchens have a 4 burner gas stove with oven grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridges and a good range of cutlery, crockery and quality pots and pans. Bed linen (down duvets) and large bath towels, cleaning materials and toilet paper are supplied.
On Site Experiences
The farm dam is stocked with trout and bass. Fishing in the dam is permitted on a catch and release basis. Kayaking, walking and mountain biking can also be enjoyed, or you can pop into one of the villages for a meal or shopping.

Dean Cottage has a main bedroom, a loft bedroom and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom is furnished with one Queen-size bed and one single bed. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a shower. There is a door that opens onto the patio. The second bedroom is an upstairs loft that is furnished with three single beds, two of which can convert into a king-size bed on request. The cottage has a fully fenced garden making it a good choice for guests who require pet-friendly accommodation.

Struan Cottage accommodates four guests in one bedroom with one bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and living area.
