Self catering Accommodation

Willemsrivier Blomhuis Cottage in Nieuwoudtville is a very old sandstone building with thick walls. The self catering holiday cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first and second bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and the third bedroom has is furnished with single beds. The one bedroom has en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The second shared bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin.

There is a sitting area and dining table as well as a spacious kitchen with a two plate stove, microwave, fridge / freezer, toaster kettle crockery and cutlery. For relaxing, with a good book, we have a day-bed perfectly placed in the lounge for those lazy days.The undercover patio has a built in braai.

The Farm

There are many historical buildings to view for example the Smuts/Maritz office, the Waenhuis, the Opstal, and many more. For the adventurous people, there are also 4x4 routes and hiking routes that can be explored, The seasonal flower routes like candlestick lilies and yellow “katstert” flowers are to be seen on these routes. A must to visit is the old graves, the “trapvloer” as well as the fountain and the old tractors. As it is a working sheep farm, sheep shearing during spring (August) and in the autumn is very exciting as well as seeing the dogs in action getting the sheep together. At Gletser is a glacier pavement.
