Perched on a quiet mountainside cul-de-sac overlooking the Indian Ocean and Cape Peninsula, Blue on Blue Bed & Breakfast offers 180° sea views and superior service in a tranquil setting.

Architectural detail can be found throughout, including the original Rhodesian teak and Oregon pine floors, porthole windows, mottled glass, antique cedar-lined closets, and tiled bathrooms. Guest and common rooms are accented with colorful textiles, archival photographs, beadwork and other handcrafts by local artisans.

Accommodation

The Master Suite:
The Master Suite is our most elegant and romantic accommodation, with a custom-made California King Size mattress on a canopy bed, and en-suite mosaic tiled bathroom, where you can gaze at the ocean while soaking in the bathtub.

Cape View
Cape View is a charming room with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and a view of the entire Cape Peninsula all the way to the Cape of Good Hope, the southwestern tip of Africa.

Curries Corner:
Curries' Corner View is a double room with two twin beds, views of False Bay and the Cape Peninsula, as well as a spacious private tiled bathroom with a shower and separate extra long tub for relaxing baths.

Breakfast

Enjoy a hearty hot breakfast in our dining room. Relax on our garden patio with a sea view. At the end of the day, settle into fine cotton linens and fall asleep to the sound of rolling surf.

Additional Facilities

If you come in your own vehicle, we have secure onsite parking. For public transport, we are well positioned; the St James train station is within two minutes walking, and is the most affordable and easy way to get around the area. You can explore the entire False Bay Coast on the train for just a few Rands!

Location

A short stroll down the hill takes you to the protected tidal swimming pool and seaside tennis court at St James beach. The hiking trails of the Silvermine Nature Reserve lie directly above. Kalk Bay's fishing harbour, restaurants, cafes, museums and famous antique shops and art boutiques lie in walking distance. Wine estates, golf courses, deep-sea fishing, water sports and shark diving are within ten minutes of Blue on Blue.
