Bushbaby Lodge is a highly recommended property for self catering in Marloth Park for anyone visiting the Wild Frontier region.
You will find this lovely two to eight sleeper fully air-conditioned self-catering lodge - situated in a game corridor' - deep in the heart of the African bush, bordering the world famous Kruger National Park. Enjoy the magnificent nature and well visited drinking hole right in front of you!
Our four legged friends like kudu, zebra, warthog, mongoose and monkey visit on a regular basis and some will feed out of your hand - so keep the food ready! The lovely male bush-buck with mom and lad as well as the small duiker family also visits during early morning and afternoon. The patrys, flocks of guinea fowl and other birds will pick up their food during the day.
When the sun sets, you will get the fire burning, and while relaxing around it, you may be surprised by a visit by civet and the shy bushbaby (likes banana and yoghurt). Listen carefully to the sounds of nature, and you will hear the lion roaring from the Kruger Park, hippo grumbling in the Crocodile River and hyena laughing while scavenging around.
Choose from our three sleeper Baby Lodge and our six sleeper Bush Lodge. Both are well equipped for self catering and make use of a shared swimming pool.

While driving or hiking in Marloth Park, you may find game like kudu, zebra, 'blou-wildebees', impala, giraffe, duiker, warthog, mongoose, monkeys, baboon and shy bush-buck on your way. The lodge is conveniently situated only a few minutes' drive from the Crocodile River, bordering the Kruger National Park, from where you can do game viewing or from your vehicle or lookout into the Kruger Park. Great idea for a sun downer!
You will find hiking trails in Marloth along the border with Kruger Park, as well as lookout points and bird hides. Big elephant and buffalo herds are regular sightings from the border. The river bed is also a popular area where lion stalk and catch their pray. Hippo, crocodile, water buck, bush buck, giraffe, impala, zebra, warthog, as well as rhino and many bird species can be seen during your game drive.
Game viewing in Kruger National Park:
The Lodge is half an hour's drive from the Crocodile Bridge and Malelane entrance gates to the Kruger National Park.
Other activities:
Busbaby is close to Komatipoort where you can do tiger fishing. The lovely Panorama Route through Sabie, Mac Mac Falls, Gods Window etc is within driving distance for a day visit. Elephant rides as well as helicopter and microlight rides are available at Malelane and Hazyview. A visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary near Nelspruit is also very popular.
What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.

Hi Hannes, dit was n baie lekker kuiertjie by Bush baby lodge!

Die nag apies was net so oulik, elke aand kom kuier!
