Camp Acacia is a self-catering bush camp perched on a hilltop within a 300-hectare wilderness conservancy with plains game and spectacular scenery. Bordering the Amakhala Private Game Reserve, Camp Acacia is set in Greater Addo, a 30-minute drive from Addo Elephant National Park.

Self Catering Accommodation

Camp Acacia is a rustic stone-and-thatch camp for the exclusive use of 1 group of up to 6 guests. Guests are accommodated in three standalone A-frame chalets. Of the three chalets, two are furnished with double beds and the third has two single beds. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin, seating area, as well as a patio with two chairs to enjoy the views.

In a separate building, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a lounge area with a fireplace. Limited Wi-Fi coverage is available in the lounge area.

The camp facilities also include a swimming pool with sun loungers and expansive views, and a braai and firepit.

Commanding spectacular views, the focus is on rest and relaxation, cooking around a fire, and enjoying the company of those with you.

Additional Info

All guests are met at the Amakhala Conservation Centre and transferred by a Camp Acacia vehicle to the camp. The accommodation rate includes the transfer to the camp on arrival and a transfer to the Amakhala Conservation Centre on your departure. Any additional transfers during your stay will attract an additional fee.

Attractions

For those eager for activity, the conservancy offers a number of running or walking trails. In addition, the terrain is perfect for mountain bikers wanting to test their skills and technique. Guests have full access to the entire property including walks, hikes and bike rides on the 300-hectare conservancy, and can spot plains game including zebra, giraffe and springbok.

Camp Acacia does not offer game drives, however, when making a booking we can assist with arranging a day safari on neighbouring Amakhala Game Reserve (availability dependent) or Addo National Park is 45 minutes away for self-drive safaris.
