About Simbavati Camp George

Camp George is a private establishment, constructed in the traditional style of an African Safari Camp. This select 10 bed camp is situated in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature reserve with an expanse of Klaserie River frontage.

Situated on 3200 ha within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve which is located adjacent to the Kruger National Park with no boundary fences between them, this select 10 bed camp offers families, friends and small business groups a truly private wild life experience.

The camp is located a 5.5 hours drive from Johannesburg. SA Express have 2 x daily flights from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit where guests could arrange for a transfer to the camp.

Accommodation

All chalets are air-conditioned and have overhead fans, fly screens and en-suite bathrooms consisting of bath, basin/vanity and toilet.

There are eight luxury suites, overlooking the dry river bed, the Lorah (Dream in Tsonga), are ideal for singles and couples traveling together.

There are two interleading units are available for families traveling together. Each of the eight luxury suites has a king-sized bed (convertible to twin), dressing table, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and a full en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking tub, indoor and outdoor shower and a range of luxury amenities

Daily cleaning services includes the making up of the rooms.

On Site Facilities

The main building comprises of a well equipped kitchen, scullery and pantry. It is open plan with an informal dining room / TV lounge (with DStv) Wi-fi and an outdoor terrace with a gas braai and a guest toilet.

The lapa lounge adjoins the boma for your evening fire / braai. the lapa lounge has an open plan dining room, bar area, with fridge and ice machine, TV (with DStv) indoor fire place, and braai facility for the winter months. All wood is supplied and your camp guard will light your fire in the evening.

There is a large pool with loungers which overlooks a watering hole. The garden is large and tranquil accommodating both families with children or allowing you to relax quietly with a book under one of the large trees.

There is a low lying electric fence around the entire camp.

Activities & Attractions

Game viewing at Camp George takes place twice daily with a Guide and provides guests with the opportunities of seeing a myriad of wild animals, including, but not limited to the big 5 and vast number of bird species.

Game viewing times are flexible and tailored to the guests' individual daily needs. No self drives are permitted. Bush braai activities can be arranged when booking.
