About Cecil John Rhodes Guest House

Experience the wealth and luxury of yesteryear at this historical property built in 1895. Our seven elegantly decorated rooms are all en-suite with either bath or shower. We are centrally situated and within walking distance from most of Kimberley's historical homes and monuments as well as the city's business centre, shopping malls, art galleries, theatre, private hospitals, Karen Muir swimming pool and restaurants.

We offer a tea garden, which is open seven days a week with scrumptious home-made delights. Tours of Kimberley, De Beers Mine and the battlefields can be arranged with a specialist tour guide.

Elri and Lyndon de Meillon are the owners. Our friendly and efficient staff will cater to your every need. Come sit in our shady garden under our beloved mulberry tree and enjoy the sparkle of Kimberley.

Accommodation

We have eight rooms and can sleep a maximum number of 18 guests.

rooms 4 and 6 (twin rooms):
En-suite rooms with two single beds each. The bathrooms are fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chairs, bed side tables, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 1 (double room):
En-suite room with queen size bed and single bed. The bathroom is fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chairs, bed side tables, table and chairs, bench, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 2 (double room):
En-suite room with double bed. The bathroom is fitted with bath, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chair, bench, bed side tables, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 3 (double room):
En-suite room with double bed. Also serves as honeymoon room with fireplace. The bathroom is fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chairs, bed side tables, two seater couch, round table and chairs, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 5 (double room):
En-suite room with double bed and a single bed. Also serves as family room (can accommodate extra single bed). The bathroom is fitted with bath, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chair, 2 soft chairs, chest, bed side tables, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 7 (double room)
En-suite room with double bed. The bathroom is fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chairs, bed side tables, TV cabinet and cupboard with hangers and laundry bag provided.

room 8 (single room)
En-suite room with single bed. The bathroom is fitted with shower, basin and lavatory. Dressing table with chair, bed side table, TV cabinet and chest of drawers with hangers and laundry bag provided.

Our tea garden serves light meals. A three course dinner may be pre-booked.
