About Cederkloof Botanical Retreat
Cederkloof Botanical Retreat is nestled in a breathtaking gorge in the Olifants river valley, which is part of the greater Cederberg Wilderness area, which is a world heritage site.
The farm is situated in a very secluded gorge that has a warm water (26 - 30˚) spring which seeps through the rock further up in the valley.
There is a lovely 4km hiking trail which includes panoramic views, gorge hiking covered in wild buchu and ends with a small waterfall. The canoeing is absolutely breathtaking and is about 3km's long.
Self Catering Accommodation
Accommodation consists of ten fully equipped chalets, that each enjoy their own private piece of the mountain. Units are equipped with a private spring fed Jacuzzi, bedding, TV, air-conditioners as well as kitchenettes with fridges, two-plate stoves, microwaves, toasters, kettles, electric frying pans and crockery.
Citrusdal
Citrusdal town has a golf course, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, horse riding, 4x4 trails, bird watching and day dreaming spots.
We are 60km from one of the top ten rock climbing spots in the world and also an hours drive from South Africa's best left surf break.

Good value for someone wanting a quiet retreat close to the Cederberg. Facilities were clean and comfortable, although the indoor cooking was fairly basic. Enjoyed the walking, the jacuzzi and the air-conditioning!

As a young family, we really enjoyed our stay at Cederkloof. The two favourites were the jacuzzi and the air conditioning. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay with young children, especially during summer when your kids can spend the day in and out of the jacuzzi.
