Accommodation

Chargo Lodge offers a selection of family and double rooms. All rooms have Wi-Fi and are serviced daily. Room service is available. There is an additional bathroom in the building that can be devoted to our families staying over, making bath time a pleasure!

Dining

Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates and served daily. Lunch is available at an additional cost. The Chargo team will treat you to exceptional local cuisine at breakfast and dinner, including the freshest seasonal produce, free-range meats and venison.

Activities

Our passion is the diverse wildlife that calls the Reserve home. Join us for a morning or afternoon game drive on an open safari vehicle as we search for personal encounters with the abundant wildlife and birdlife on the Reserve.

We depart from the lodge shortly before sunrise on a game drive customised to the group's interests and based on previously spotted wildlife. Upon return to the lodge, the friendly staff treats guests to a scrumptious home-cooked full English breakfast.

The rest of the day is spent enjoying the various activities on offer on the Reserve or in the area, including fishing, nature walks, historical site tours and much more. At mid- to late afternoon, the group departs for the ever-popular evening game drive, which offers an opportunity to watch the sun setting over the beautiful Karoo, and to look for the Reserve's more elusive nocturnal wildlife.
