Charihandra Game Lodge is privately owned and is situated in the malaria-free Greater Addo region of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Boasting beautiful views and sunsets, the lodge offers peace and tranquillity. The Lodge is ideal for business and pleasure and is an gateway to all that can be enjoyed in the Addo area.
The large poolside garden is the ideal place to relax while soaking up the sunshine or enjoying a sundown cocktail with friends. The thatched boma is equipped with braai (BBQ) facilities for large group al fresco entertainment requirements.
African Cuisine is served either in the main Lapa next to the swimming pool with its view of the African bush, or in the Boma, besides crackling fires, where guests may experience the sounds of the African night. The entertainment centre offers pool table, table tennis, jungle gym and dart board.
Addo Accommodation
There is a sun deck and and braai area. All units have a kitchen which is fully equipped for self catering with a stove, microwave and fridge. There is a safe and hair dryer available.
Kudu Chalet:
This is an air-conditioned thatched cottage furnished with a queen bed and two single beds.
Impala Chalet:
This is an air-conditioned thatched cottage furnished with two ¾ beds and two single beds.
Zebra Chalet:
Zebra Chalet is an air-conditioned thatched cottage furnished with two ¾ and two single beds.
Nyala Chalet:
This is a air-conditioned thatched cottage furnished with a queen bed.
Duiker
One of the smaller chalet's, Duiker sleeps 2 adults in 2 Double beds. The bathroom has a shower and there is a well equipped kitchen.
Attractions and Activities
Charihandra Game Lodge is home to a large number of wildlife including herds of black wildebeest, kudu, nyala, Cape grysbok, zebra, springbuck, blesbuck and bushbuck.
Activities include walking trails, game drives, mountain biking and quad biking. Game drives at the Lodge are conducted in the mornings and late afternoons in open game viewing vehicles with informative field guides.
Location
Charihandra Game Lodge is found in the heart of the Sundays River Valley, on the doorstep of the Addo Elephant National Park. The Lodge is a short 30 minutes from Port Elizabeth and is the ideal base from which to explore the Elephant Park, nearby game reserves and other Attractions.
