Set on the cliffs, right above the sea with breathtaking views across Walker Bay, Cliff Lodge is 25 minutes from Hermanus in the tranquil village of De Kelders. Luxurious, individually decorated bedrooms have sea views and open onto outside patios.
This luxury, boutique guest house is situated 5km from Gansbaai in the quiet village of De Kelders. Cliff Lodge is set on the cliffs, right above the sea with breathtaking views across Walker Bay. Guests have the use of a comfortable guest lounge and a spacious balcony overlooking the sea.
Accommodation
At Cliff Lodge we offer a level of service that is always attentive, but never intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and with only a few rooms we are able to cater to each guest's needs. The luxurious, individually decorated rooms have en-suite bathrooms, sea views and outside patios.

De Kelders / Gansbaai
The magnificent, unspoilt coastline of De Kelders, just outside Gansbaai is one of the best vantagevpoints in the world for land-based whale watching. The southern right whales visit our shores each year between June and December to mate and calve.
You will be able to see and hear these magnificent creatures from Cliff Lodge. You can also enjoy a 2-hour boat trip to come up close and personal with a southern right in its natural habitat - a truly exhilarating experience.

My partner Map and I have been to many continents, visiting wonderful places like Livingston Montana, Kaikoura New Zealand and Arniston South Africa. To be honest, we've never been to a place like Cliff Lodge, De Kelders, for two reasons. Warm hospitality and excellent service in combination with a breath taking lodge.

Even better than we had hoped - a magical setting, a fabulous room, warm hospitality, great advice on local restaurants etc, terrific breakfasts. We are sad to leave and after 4 nights we could still stay longer.
