Schaefers' Halt is close enough to take a day trip to the many tourist attractions in the area and a stop over to the Kruger National Park and private game lodges in Mpumalanga.

Self Catering Accommodation

Cloud Cottage is a holiday home in Dullstroom that sleeps four adults and two children - ideal for a large family.

The main bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed with an adjoining kids room furnished with bunk beds. These two bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin.

There are an open-plan lounge and dining room area with a large fireplace and a TV with Easyview bouquet.

Outside there is a private veranda with seating and a kettle barbeque and encompasses breathtaking views over the foothills of the Steenkampsberg mountain range.

The cottage has an "outage" backup in the form of torches, paraffin and LED lamps, candles, gas cooker and kettle- also reminiscent of a passed era.

Pets

Pets welcome by arrangement for a nominal fee per dog per night. Please note this unit does NOT have a fence.

Attractions and Activities

Schaefers' Halt is a secure and scenic country property where scenic walks, mountain hikes, bird watching and mountain biking can be enjoyed. Throughout the spring and summer months wild flowers are abundant and the beautiful country gardens attract many birds.

Guests can try their hand at the gentle art of fly-fishing in the three ponds or catch a wild trout on a stretch of the Dorp's river. (Fly-fishing equipment available for hire).
