Croc's Nest Bush Lodge is a property for self catering in Marloth Park for up to 6 guests visiting the Wild Frontier region.

About Croc's Nest Bush Lodge

Nestled along the Crocodile River and adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park, Marloth Park offers an unparalleled experience. Situated within a nature conservancy, Crocs Nest Bush Lodge provides a unique retreat in the heart of the bush. With no perimeter fencing, wildlife roams freely among the properties, allowing for extraordinary encounters with some of Africa's most beloved creatures.

This distinctive feature sets Marloth Park apart. During a morning walk, you may encounter a herd of zebra or a tower of giraffe. Alternatively, you can relax at the lodge and let the wildlife come to you. The park is home to a diverse array of animals, including kudu, wildebeest, warthog, impala, and bushbuck. Smaller residents like banded mongoose, bushbabies, and vervet monkeys also frequently visit.

Self-Catering Accommodation

Crocs Nest Bush Lodge is a spacious, multi-story retreat featuring three bedrooms and accommodations for six guests. The lodge offers breathtaking views of the Crocodile River.

Each bedroom is furnished with comfortable king-size or single beds and en-suite bathrooms, with two rooms boasting private viewing decks.

The house is equipped with solar water heaters and a backup power generator for added convenience.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, and tea and coffee facilities, while the lounge provides comfortable seating. Outdoor dining areas offer views of either the river or the private plunge pool, perfect for soaking in the magic of the African bush.

About the Area

Our property overlooks the Kruger National Park, extending to its Crocodile River boundary. The park entrance gate is only a 25-minute drive away, though you may spot all of the Big Five from our viewing deck.

This scenic riverside location is rich in woodland and riverine birdlife, with the potential to see many of Kruger Park’s over 500 bird species. A short walk leads to Marloth Park's Bee-Eater bird hide, offering closer views of the river’s visitors. For those who prefer to stay at the lodge, the decks provide excellent opportunities for bird and game viewing right on your doorstep.

Loadshedding Facilities

What is loadshedding? It refers to the temporary suspension of electricity provided by Eskom, South Africa's electricity provider, to reduce consumption and thereby the load on the national grid. To compensate, South African property owners are turning to solar power, inverters with backup batteries or in some cases generators to keep the power on, wherever feasible.
