Accommodation

The Crowned Crane offers its guests bed and breakfast, self catering and budget accommodation. At the Crowned Crane the emphasis is on personal service, and the relaxed atmosphere carries through to the accommodation, where guests make themselves at home in well appointed appointed suites. The tranquility of the Crowned Crane is enhanced by the entrancing sea views, the sound of the surf, and the soft saline scent coming off the sea.

Bed and Breakfast
On entering the bed and breakfast suites you are drawn to the full width glass frontage of the suite, where the magnificent seascape stretching away before you leads you out onto the full width private balcony. The luxurious bed and breakfast suites sleep two in comfort, and one suite provides for an additional child under 10 years old.

Self catering units
The self catering units have their own private entrance, and the enchanting thatched walkway leading to the units invites guests to an idyllic visit. The self catering units are situated in a tranquil garden locale and have their own private verandahs, charmingly overgrown with lush vegetation. The self catering units sleep two adults and two children under 10 years in comfort or three adults and are superbly appointed, ensuring that all guests' needs are fulfilled.

Breakfast

A full English breakfast is served every morning to prepare guests for the day ahead.

Additional Facilities

All suites have tea and coffee making facilities. The covered braai area is available to all guests, even though the self catering units each have their own mini-braai. There is a wall mounted TV in each suite, with DStv and M-Net. There is ample secure off-road parking, and the Crowned Crane is conveniently situated near all amenities.

A minute from the Crowned Crane is access to the pristine beauty of the Gonubie coastline. Equally close is the Gonubie Bird Sanctuary which is home to over 160 bird species, including the Crowned Crane. Within walking distance of The Crowned Crane is the tidal pool and the start of the renowned Gonubie Boardwalk, which will lead you to Gonubie's impressive river mouth.
