Dassiekrans One is a chalet in Groendal Wilderness Area overlooking a stream fed by a perennial spring which has shallow pools where you can watch the dragonflies hover in the morning sun.

The cabin is furnished with a King-size bed and a single bed. The en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is an open plan kitchenette with a 12V camping fridge, a dining area and indoor fireplace. Lighting is supplied by solar powered batteries.

Outside there is a patio and an outdoor braai area.

Activities & Attractions

Kleinrivier is a paradise for hikers, birders and those who simply want to escape other people for a while. We have not introduced any of the big five so it is safe to walk and explore our many trails on your own.

The scenery in the Kleinrivier gorge is spectacularly beautiful and there are frequent pools to tempt you in on a hot summer day. If you are lucky you may encounter klipspringer, kudu or other game that we have introduced.
