Dawsons Homestead is a comfortable old farmhouse offering accommodation in Badplaas. Located 2.1km from Dawsons Game & Trout Lodge, guests can enjoy a peaceful break away. Dawsons is a place where the sun dances across the open plains at sunrise and sunset, painting the landscape a vivid combination of fiery red, orange, copper and gold. It is a place where herds of animals slowly wonder the Savanna plains impervious to time. A place where dramatic mountains, waterfalls and perennial streams flow lazily from dam to dam, surrounded by open space, where you can relish the freedom of timelessness, exploration and peace.

Self Catering Accommodation

Dawsons Homestead is a self catering holiday home in Badplaas. Room 1 is furnished with two single beds and a bunk bed. Room 3 is furnished with a Queen-size bed. These rooms make use of a separate bathroom fitted with shower, toilet and basin.

Room 2 is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with bath, toilet and basin.

Room 4 is the main bedroom and is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin.

Room 5 and 7 are each furnished with twin beds pushed together both en-suite fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. Room 6 is an interleading room with two bunk beds.

Rooms 4, 5 and 7 have a fireplace.

The TV room has a TV with satellite channels and a bunk bed for two additional guests. There is a comfortable living area with a fireplace and a fully fitted kitchen. Limited service is provided daily to assist with making beds, washing dishes and cleaning.

Outside there is a lapa with fireplace, gas braai, ten seater table and a swimming pool. Set in beautiful secluded surrounds just above a large trout dam it has an uninterrupted vista of the open plains and the dramatic mountains in the background where herds of game wander.

ACTIVITIES

Guests have full access to a variety of activities while staying at Dawsons Game and Trout Lodge. These include guided game drives and walks, trout and bass fishing, bird viewing, horse riding, scenic hikes or just simply relax around our pool area and soak up the magnificent sunshine and views.
