Breakfast
In the morning our guests can enjoy our full English Breakfast. Breakfasts consists of filter coffee / different teas / orange juice, cereals (with hot or cold milk), muesli (with a choice of yoghurts), toast with a choice of jams, cheese, and a lovely hot meal (egg, fried tomato, 2 strips of bacon, and a sausage).
Location
Centrally situated, it's a walking distance from banking facilities and a shopping centre. The famous heart surgeon dr. Chris Barnard is honoured in three historical buildings - all national museums. You may visit his humble home, the church where his father preached and where his mother played the organ.
Attractions
In the Karoo National Park you will find a wide variety of birdlife and Karoo game and two of South Africa's most highly endangered species - the riverine rabbit and the black rhino. The fossil trail is a must see experience for each, and every explorer who want to enjoy the real adventure of "bossie route's", day walks and three-day hikes can make Donkin Country House their base.

Even though we have only stayed 2x one night we really enjoyed our stay at the Donkin Country House. It was our first time to Beaufort West on our way to CT but what a lovely people. I'll give the restaurant 5 stars. Their food is like home (and believe me, we like our food if home cooked) We have never eaten so lovely in a restaurant. the atmosphere is great. It takes you back to the 50 years. We will recommend to anyone if they are in Beaufort West to spend the night there and have breakfast and dinner at the B&B.
