About Doringpoort Lodge

Your safe elegant home away from home bush retreat. Doringpoort Safari Lodge is nestled in the unspoilt bush that borders the southern tip of the World renowned Kruger National Park wildlife conservancy. It has its own unique atmosphere with all the luxuries to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay in the bush. Doringpoort Lodge is a unique establishment within Marloth Park.

Accommodation

You are offered Luxury Self-catering accommodation. in a selection of units. A couple of the properties unique features include, Lemoentjiedoring's open air kitchen, which has a garden view & Apiesdoring's open air shower and toilet with a true African bush veld view & en-suite bathrooms in all of our rooms, Knoppiedorings safety & luxury combined.

Start or end your day with a relaxing walk along the banks of the Crocodile River just 120m from your accommodation.

The Lodge is located within a private conservancy, affording guests a unique opportunity to appreciate the abundance of free-roaming game and birdlife. Undercover parking is also available (one per unit). Guests can use their own high clearance vehicle for self - drive game drives. Walking, running and mountain biking are allowed within the conservancy. Marloth Park has his own small shopping centre (enquire about operating hours), where you are able to purchase all of the basic necessities you may require. Crocodile Bridge gate is our nearest entry point into Kruger Park and is only 20 km away.

Doringpoort also adds the extra service on an on-site Tour desk that is available to arrange all activities within Kruger Park and the surrounding areas, subject to availability. For your convenience we also have an on-site convenience shop with some basic items, like wood, ice, braai packs, charcoal, blitz, water and coffee pods & dark roast coarse ground (coffee plunger available in room).

We have taken many safety and security precautions with our modern safety and security features such as a 24 hour response team, alarm systems, safety and security doors and windows so that you can enjoy your stay without concern. A backup 35-kva diesel generator is installed in case of power failure and free wi-fi throughout the property and full DStv in each unit.

Dining

At an additional cost, guests can email us their shopping list 72hours in advance and we stock the unit with the items of the list,making your self catering stay that much easier. Alternatively a B&B option can be chosen, in which case breakfast can be packed to go or served in the comfort of your own private dining space and we will do the dishes. Only breakfast and dinner options available with prior arrangement.

Spend time around the fire in your own private entertainment area during your visit, while enjoying the night music of nature. You might get some un-expected visitors, as the bush babies rarely can resist a healthy snack in the tree. The fully furnished self-catering unit has 2 bedrooms and en-suite. It is a modern upmarket and well-appointed home with all modern fixtures. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The second bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds and the unit also offers an additional three-quarter bed in the TV room. The second bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. There is also an outdoor shower and a toilet. The unit also has a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, microwave, and a kettle. The spacious lounge area features a TV with DStv and Wi-fi. Daily cleaning services are provided for. Guests can cool down in their own private splash pool, maintained daily, or enjoy a true bush braai.
