About Earth Cottage

Earth Cottage offers Hermanus accommodation in comfortable self-catering cottage on a small horse-farm. The farm is in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, about 6km from the beach, on the Hermanus Wine Route. Conveniently situated on a little tarred road, no dirt roads at all.

Self Catering Accommodation

Earth Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Hermanus with a relaxed, old-world theme. Rich wood, Persian and African carpets and other natural fabrics and textures contrast sharply with the crisp white linens and towels welcoming you.

Earth Cottage has one bedroom furnished with a double bed. There is a single bed and sleeper couch in the lounge. The bathroom is fitted with a free-standing Victorian style bath with overhead shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas stove, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, a large fridge / freezer, washing machine, coffee plungers and ample cutlery and crockery.

Towels, linen and braai wood for your first fire will be ready for you. Please bring your own beach towels, mountain bikes and hiking boots!

Parking is off-street. The road is tarred right up to the garden gate. A portable braai is provided on the covered front veranda.

There is no television. There is free uncapped Wi-Fi.

The Area

Earth Cottage is situated right next to Hamilton Russell Vineyards. Our other neighbour is Bouchard Findlayson Estate. The other famous wine estates of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, and the lagoon and Onrust beaches are just down the road. La Vierge Restaurant is a mere 2km away. Bona Dea Estate is 2,6km. Woolies Food is at the Engen, 5,5km down the road.
