Elandela River Lodge offers luxury full board accommodation within the Greater Kruger National Park area. This magnificent reserve which is home to the Big Five, offers fabulous game viewing opportunities.

Elandela River Lodge offers two daily photo safaris in an open 4x4 vehicle on Elandela Private Game Reserve. Come and experience the roars of our White Lions reverberating through Elandela River Lodge – an intimate and exclusive haven for you and your loved ones in the South African Bush.

Accommodation

Designed with your privacy and comfort in mind, our luxurious rooms all offer fully equipped en suite bathrooms, air-conditioners, fans, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, fully stocked mini bars, safety deposit boxes and bug repellent. All rooms have a laundry bag as part of a highly efficient 24-hour laundry service.

The superior quality linen has been embroidered specifically for Elandela River Lodge. Our hallmark is cleanliness and this will be most apparent in your room. You are most welcome to bring your laptop along to communicate with your friends back home via our Wi-Fi internet connection service. This, as well as the cell phone services, has coverage in your room.

Dining

Elandela River Lodge boasts true Fine Dining sensory experiences in the Elegant Dining Room and traditional barbecues in the outside reed enclosure or Boma. Our mission is that our guests enjoy the different tastes that our region offers, but with the superior presentation that the unique setting we are in demands. The barbecue next to the fire, under the African stars, is always an unforgettable event!

On site Facilities

Our spacious lounge with its large wood and glass sliding doors has been designed to offer breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon and Drakensberg mountains in the distance and the lush forest of the Klaserie River down below. The sweeping views of the plains and the mountains are punctuated by the lake below, watering place for a myriad of graceful antelopes and home to a family of Hippos.

The bar in the lounge is stocked with a selection of beers and award winning South African wines! Enjoy a cold beer next to the inviting, sparkling pool!

Experience

Included in your tariff are two daily Game Drives on Elandela Private Game Reserve. The early morning Game Drive leaves at 06h00 and returns at 09h00. The afternoon Game Drive leaves at 15h30 and returns at 19h00. Special accent on our magnificent White Lion prides!

See our 2000 year old baobab tree! We do offer a short tour with a spotlight at dusk, at the end of the Safari, but if you want to explore the nocturnal wonder world of the leopard, aardvark, civet and bush baby we do offer a night safari after dinner at an additional cost.

We offer our guests who book 2 nights or longer, an extra excursion at an additional cost to visit world famous Kruger National Park from 6h00 to 17h00 in a Toyota Quantum minibus with custom made large windows to photograph the elephants and other game of Kruger National Park.

Guests can purchase midday tours - after breakfast or after lunch - to various wildlife conservation projects or the Blyde River Canyon Lake boat trip.
