The water-sports Mecca of Langebaan is just over 100km from Cape Town on the West Coast. The beaches surrounding the crystal clear waters of the lagoon are one of the main attractions of Langebaan.

The town has a golf course, tennis courts, a bowling green and a yacht club. Attractions include the West Coast National Park, West Coast Fossil Park, Die Strandloper Restaurant, windsurfing or kayaking on the lagoon.
