Essenwood House is a sub-tropical Colonial era paradise. It has lovely views, extremely tranquil and for South Africa it is very safe. From a security aspect you are better off here than in any of the large international hotels. The residence is magnificent and tastefully furnished. If you like to feel very "at Home" and like pleasant and elegant surrounds you cant go wrong here. This is for people who have a taste for things as they were in an era that is gone. We are fortunate to still have Essenwood House, its beautiful garden, elegant and tasteful rooms/suites and the fantastic Staff to cater to your needs. Our stay of 4 nights was too short but we will definitely visit again if only to relax in the wonderful atmosphere. Visit and enjoy!
