Fernhill Guest Farm is situated in the Rheenendal area just outside Knysna. Enshrouded in lush indigenous forest and surrounding a scenic lagoon of the same name, the Garden Route town of Knysna has plenty to offer. This is the perfect getaway situated on a farm where you are surrounded by farm animals and stunning views.

Self Catering Accommodation

Fernhill Guest Farm has four self catering cottages, overlooking the farm camps where cows peacefully graze, creating the perfect setting to slow down, smell the fresh, clean air and enjoy a lingering braai with friends and family.

The cottages can each accommodate up to six guests and have two bedrooms, one bathroom and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first bedroom has a double bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is also a sleeper couch in the living area.

The kitchens are well-equipped for self-catering. The cottages have an inside fireplace to keep you warm on the colder winter nights. Each cottage has the most wonderful shady patio with built-in braai.

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement at an additional cost. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Attractions

This area is very popular with mountain bikers, so bring your bicycle and explore this region that forms part of the 7 Passes Route between Knysna and George. We are situated in a conservancy, so in addition to the farm animals, there is a lot of free roaming wildlife including bushbuck, bush pigs, leopard, monkeys, baboons, porcupines and a large variety of birds, so don't forget the binoculars. For those who enjoy walks, there are many beautiful trails on the 56-hectare farm and you are welcome to bring your dogs, at a nominal fee, as the fully fenced cottages are pet friendly. Escape to the country and enjoy this piece of paradise with us.
