Fleckvieh Guest Farm at Grootvadersbosch Landgoed offers Swellendam self catering on a private working farm, situated at the foothills of the Langeberg mountains close to Tradouwspass. This is an ideal place for guests looking for comfortable farm lodging, away from the city's hustle and bustle. Guests from abroad like to use the guest farm not only as a base to visit nearby attractions but also to easily visit Cape Town, George and Oudtshoorn.

The Eland unit is a forest hut tucked away in the indigenous wild olive forest on the edge of the dam, overlooking the Langeberg mountains. This unit is very spacious with an open plan kitchen, living area that leads out onto a deck and outside braai area. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, fridge, little stove and a fireplace. The unit has one double bed in the main bedroom, two bunk beds in the second bedroom and one bunk bed in the living area.

We had a pleasant stay at the guest farm, the cabins were clean except the bathrooms were dirty, water outlets full of old hair and spider nests in corners. I would suggest clear walking trail boards as we totally got lost and walked into a group of baboons which was not very friendly. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
