About Forest Creek Lodge & Spa
Forest Creek Lodge and Spa is found nestled in a gorge of the Steenkampsburg Mountains and set in a private nature reserve on the Mpumalanga escarpment.

The Forest Spa
Relax and unwind in the Forest Spa, a variety of treatments available.
Location
A question often asked is where are you? Our reply is, if one was in Dullstroom and "jumped off the mountain", you would land in our gorge. Dullstroom is 60ks and Lydenburg is 35km away
Pets
Dogs allowed by prior arrangement
Although we do not have a tick problem, we suggest all dogs be put on Bravecto prior to booking to be on the safe side
Preferably 2 pets per booking
Large or medium size dogs welcome as long as they are well behaved
Dogs are not allowed in the dining area at meal times, and must on a lead at the lodge at all times, but in the forest, they can go wild
Additional fee charged per dog per day
Owner must bring own dog beds bowls etc.

Bush bath - a romantic bath literally in the bush, set in a private spot, with lots of bubbles and candles
Clay pigeon shooting
Romantic Gazebo dinner - book your romantic private dinner on the gazebo, overlooking the mountain
Jet ski - bring along your own jet ski and enjoy a day of fantastic skiing on the Kwena Dam
Elephant rides - visit the Elephant Whisperers' where one can interact with elephants
Hiking there are marked trails through the Cloud Forest, along the banks of the stream to the Waterfall
Bird watching - we have a prolific variety of birds that can be seen, including a resident pair of Black Eagles
Horse riding available 4km down the hill
Mountain biking - bring your bikes and enjoy the off road cycling

The cottage has a fireplace in the lounge/ dining room and is fully equipped. There is a large outside braai area, with a table for a lazy breakfast, lunch or supper. The cottage comprises 1 queen bedroom en-suite (bath and toilet, with the shower over the bath), another small bedroom with bunk beds and a double sleeper couch in the lounge. Suitable for couples with children or a romantic getaway as the bathroom is open-plan romantic style. Fan, Electric blanket and heater, snuggle under our percale cotton duvets and linen. Forest creek is a sublime hideaway from the rigours of the world. The hosts and staff are friendly. The views are exquisite. Anita has spent years perfecting the details of each unit and the guest experience. Better for couples than families. Don't forget to book the outdoor bath. We will be going back there again and again. It is exquisite.
