Forest Lodge @ Mamagalie consists of a master bedroom furnished with a hand crafted Queen sized Four Poster bed, draped with a Safari style Mosquito net. It's large panelled windows and sliding doors open out into the Forest whilst the large rooftop skylights filter the sunlight into the room. The deck off the bedroom is built into the trees and also has an outside shower and table for early morning coffee. The bathroom is fitted with a large double bath and shower, once again large panelled windows and skylights give the feeling of being in a tree house. The open plan kitchen and dining room are well equipped for a complete self catering stay and contains a 4 plate gas stove/oven and fridge/freezer. All cooking and braaing utensils, crockery and cutlery are supplied. The deck off the lounge area has a table and chairs with access to the braai. The electrical system is solar powered so although there is normal lighting it is not possible to connect TV's, microwaves, hairdryers etc. There is sufficient to charge cell phones and limited laptop usage. Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

Can I pay the deposit at month end?

That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
