Self-Catering Accommodation

Fynbos House is a stunning seven-bedroom, six-bathroom property located in Hermanus, designed to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests. This elegant home seamlessly integrates modern conveniences with the charm of its scenic locale, fostering a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere.

On the ground floor, you'll find a gracious reception area, the first bedroom, a cozy lounge, a formal dining room, a sunroom, a guest cloakroom, and a fully equipped kitchen adjacent to a laundry room. The Pool Cottage, situated just outside, includes two additional bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Accessibility is a key feature, with both stairs and an elevator providing access to various levels.

The first floor features four bedrooms and four bathrooms, complemented by three balconies, two expansive living areas, and a bar. Guests should be aware of three steps at the front entrance, internal stairs near the reception area, and further staircases, including a spiral staircase from the deckroom balcony to the Pool Cottage and pool area.

Bedroom 1 offers a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower. Bedroom 2 is equipped with another king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom featuring a bathtub and a shower. Bedroom 3 includes a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, while Bedroom 4 is furnished with a queen-size bed. Bedrooms 5, 6, and 7 each have double beds. The remaining bathrooms are well-appointed, with two featuring showers, toilets, and basins, and one offering a bath, toilet, and basin.

The kitchen is fully outfitted to cater to all your culinary needs, including a coffee machine, washer, dryer, and multiple dishwashers. The home boasts various living areas for relaxation, including one with a TV offering DStv, Netflix, Showmax, and a pool table. High-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property. Depending on the weather, you can make use of the gas braai, multiple fireplaces, and free-standing fans. Outdoor amenities feature a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, and beach towels along with a beach umbrella are provided for your beach excursions.

Fynbos House is fortified with advanced security features, including CCTV, an electric fence, and a security alarm system. Secure parking is available behind a remote-controlled gate. During loadshedding, the house remains functional thanks to a 10kW wind turbine, an inverter, and 45kWh of lithium battery storage. A UPS system ensures continuous internet access, while the borehole water supply is enhanced by iron removal filters, tanks, and a storage dam integrated into the irrigation system.

The Garden

The property boasts breathtaking views of both the ocean and the surrounding mountains. Its private fynbos garden, which includes an irrigation dam with fish and water lilies, is home to some of the oldest Milkwood trees in Hermanus as well as the southernmost Baobab tree in South Africa. The garden also attracts tortoises and sugarbirds and features an owl house.
