The future of conferencing is here. A unique ‘open air' conference facility affectionately known as “the Shack” puts a whole new twist on traditional conferencing. While the Conference ‘shack' is designed to cater for the corporate market, it is also perfect for baby showers, kitchen teas, painting or crafting classes, and any other event that doesn't involve loud music and noise that could disturb the environment.

The Venue

Glenda's Conference Shack is constructed from corrugated iron and pine planks, a tiled roof and canvas tent fronts. Large roller doors on the sides and canvas allow you to open the venue to fresh air and the sounds of nature. Additional cooling if required is provided by large fans or heaters in winter and large industrial lights keep the venue light and bright. A custom made counter top and bar stools provide seating when you need to charge cellphones and laptops. The large 65inch Smart TV can be linked to your laptops via 3 HDMI cables, Bluetooth, or USB. High speed fibre internet makes connecting to Netflix, DStv Now or YouTube a breeze, so finish your meeting early and then switch over to watch the rugby! The Shack also has a whiteboard and flip chart and provision for a projector.

The Shack seats a maximum of 30 people on the comfiest of camping chairs each with their own side table and pockets for coffee, phones and keys. Attendees get their own individual fold-up desk which they can move anywhere and into any format – schoolroom, boardroom, circle, or just random.

The new structure adjoins Glenda's Guest Suites' lapa area, making a seamless flow from conference to lapa for teas and lunches and then perhaps a legendary braai or dinner. Glenda's Guest Suites provide full catering to fit the budget.

Delegate Package

Our day delegate package includes:
• Teas and coffee on arrival served with homemade and delicious and bran and raisin muffins or crunchies
• Mid morning teas with feather light crumpets or scones
• Flexible lunches which can be anything from sandwiches, to delicious chicken and pineapple wraps
• Full 3 course meals
• Afternoon teas and coffees with chocolate brownies
• Notepads, pens, water, cordials, and mints

All of this, coupled with the peace and tranquillity of the area and the sounds of nature, you would not be blamed for thinking you are away in the African bush chatting to colleagues under the open skies, rather than sitting in busy Midrand. It's a warm and friendly vibe, hosted by warm and friendly people and the whole atmosphere is unlike anything else you have experienced before.
