Glory Dawn offers accommodation in Knysna with unrivalled views of the breath-taking Knysna forest and surrounding Outeniqua mountain range. From here you are only 8 mins from the Knysna Lagoon, by car, then a scenic drive around the lagoon to town, 15km from the centre of town, close to beaches and forests.

Self Catering Accommodation

Glory Dawn is an open plan holiday cottage in Knysna. The cottage is furnished with a Queen-size bed, dressed with quality linen. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, hand basin and WC.

There is a comfortable sitting area with a fireplace and a TV with satellite channels. The fully equipped kitchenette has a two plate gas hob and small oven, a Nespresso pod coffee machine and everything else required for a comfortable stay. There is a dining table where you can enjoy your meals with a view. The living area has a fireplace, TV with satellite channels and a DVD player.

Inside there is an enclosed Jacuzzi / spa bath with large windows where you can admire the views and a sliding door leading to a small decked area.

Outside on the main deck there is a hammock, table and chairs and a gas weber braai.

On Site Facilities

There is a plunge pool, which overlooks the magnificent views, for the use of all the guests. It's like a big Jacuzzi with aim flow jets and seating all around. And for the more active there is a forest trail from the cottages to the bottom of the valley.

When you book in you will find, we have set up the cottage beautifully for you, with petals on the bed, arrival tea and coffee / small chocolates / bath goodies / candles / some toilet stuff / firewood and charcoal with firelighters on the deck that you can buy / daily housekeeping service /some DStv / DVD / music system.

Activities

Forest Valley Cottages has a tourist info board, in the office, with pamphlets to take and many things to do in the area, tree-top canopy tours, Elephant Park, Bungy jumping, ferry and yacht cruises on the lagoon, game park visits, horse riding, visit gold mines from 1800 close-by…are but a few.
