Grange Gardens Hotel

First impressions: Your receptionist is really nice and friendly yet professional. The security guard was also very friendly and greeted me warmly when I arrived. He also helped me carry my stuff upstairs but it does beg the question: Why is the front entrance locked? It was inconvenient to walk around the side when you have stuff to carry. The room: the bed was very comfortable but so huge, very hard to get around the other side to go close the window. Bathroom nice except no bathmat and the floor was very slippery after I had a shower. I left the door slightly open by mistake initially but I think it may also have been leaking. I had to use a towel to mop the very wet floor as I nearly slipped. Tap for basin very hard to operate, very tight. Couldn't find any plugpoint except behind the bar fridge?? and couldn't plug in charger for laptop etc same time as fridge so had to alternate. I couldn't relax on the bed and work on the laptop for too long as it needed to be charged every now and then. The best: very nice aircon! Thank you. I made the most of it up to the last minute before I left. The worst: I did not sleep much at all, maybe one hour. There was music playing the whole night through, loud enough to keep me awake and I couldn't use earplugs or else I would miss my alarm and oversleep. Unfortunately won't be coming back for that reason. I wasn't expecting a five star hotel for the good price I got but not worth it if I can't sleep.

The stay was excellent and the rooms were clean. Parking needs to be improved as they have tight spaces to manoeuvre. Breakfast can be served earlier. I checked out at 6am and breakfast only served after 7am. If I had known..I would have opted for the No breakfast option. The reception staff were friendly and pro active.
