Situated in the Robertson Wine Valley on the famous Route 62 only 180 km from Cape Town, this eco friendly and owner managed guest house offers old world charm in a modern luxurious setting. The golf course and various wineries are close by.
ACCOMMODATION
Elegant and cosy, comfortable to the hilt - all rooms are en suite with bath or shower hairdryer, wall safe, TV, books, tea tray, water, fans, electric heating and much more. Natural air conditioning is provided by thick walls, high ceilings and shutters to close.
In winter we supply nice warm winter duvets, additional blankets, hot water bottles and eco-friendly electric heating.
Our energy is partly generated by solar and our lights will stay on and the internet is backed up.
BREAKFAST & DINING
GUBAS full breakfast is a feast and will be served. It is only included in the B&B rates. A breakfast menu is available for all guests, who have chosen our room-only or self-catering option.
At GUBAS DE HOEK meet eat sleep we're offering a small light menu for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday. All guests do enjoy free access to the well-equipped guest kitchen in the garden. Our braai venue is protected with canvas. It can be booked exclusively by prior arrangement at additional costs.
We recommend the restaurants Four Cousins, Bourbon Street and Ragazzi at BEULD in town.
Attractions and Activities
Route 62, the Robertson Wine Route, various attractions, activities and the golf course are nearby. Cape Town airport is only a 90-minutes drive away. We gladly organize day trips and offer tourism information to discover the hidden gems. Why not trying our Cap Classique Tour, which is a nice combination between walking, relaxing, fun in combination with excellent Cap Classique's from the valley.

My husband and myself had the most amazing weekend. The drive from Cape Town was long but once we arrived we were greeted with a friendly hostess and some lovely orange juice and beer for my hubby. Our room was very comfortable and cool, we barely left it! The swimming pool was nice and warm on the hot Saturday afternoon and we loved going for a swim. The highlight of our weekend was definitely the breakfast! Fresh fruit and orange juice, perfect food made to order and lovely tea and coffee. Five stars for Gubas De Hoek, thank you for the most amazing weekend.

We have recently visited GuBas De Hoek for the 2nd time and thoroughly enjoyed the personal service and - touch, as well as the excellent cuisine (don't miss Gunther's dinners!!!). We would certainly recommend it to anyone who prefers something "a little special".
