Gum Tree Cottage offers Tulbagh accommodation at Welbedacht Nature Reserve. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of living, you may let go of all distractions and immerse yourself in the immense beauty of the surrounding nature. The Reserve is just below the magnificent Winterhoek Mountains and offers a tranquil environment, nature walks, an abundance of bird life and flora and spectacular views of the valley.

Self Catering Accommodation

Gum Tree Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Tulbagh sleeping six guests. There two bedrooms each furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The living area has two single sleeper couches.

There is a well equipped kitchen, a dining table and a fireplace in the lounge. Outside there is a shady porch with mountain water splash pool and views into the Tulbagh valley.

There are braai facilities to the side of the cottage.

The Area

Just over an hour's drive from Cape Town, in the Tulbagh Valley, Welbedacht Nature Reserve offers an idyllic country retreat. Enjoy game viewing, nature trails, bird watching, swimming in the dam, exploring the labyrinth or a visit from our free roaming horses.

There are mountain biking trails that begin and cross through Welbedacht and beyond, horse riding trails close by and the historic town of Tulbagh with its grand architecture and a range of restaurants and vineyards to visit.
