About Hermitage Huisies

Hermitage Huisies offers extraordinary self catering accommodation on a pretty farm in Swellendam at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains.

There is much to see and do in and around Swellendam, we really have it all, from horse trailing, sunset boat cruises on Buffeljags Dam, mountain biking routes, hiking in Marloth Nature Reserve, game viewing in the Bontebok National Park, berry picking (in season only) and of course some of the best restaurants South Africa has to offer.

Hermitage Huisies have many animals including dogs, horses, geese, chickens and bees. We also have a dam.

Self Catering Accommodation

We offer accommodation in four lovely units. All units offer luxury linens, heating, fans, comfortable beds and braai / barbeque facilities.

All cottages have indoor fireplaces, a full fridge freezer, full Wi-fi and an outdoor private bbq area. The cottages can be booked with hot tubs at extra charge.

Pets

Please discuss with us if you would like to bring pet(s) along. Since none of our cottages are fenced off and we do have horses, sheep and other animals and guests around we ask you to keep solid control over your pet(s).

Please ensure they are not a disturbance or create any damage to our property. No pets on the sofas, carpets or beds please. Please pick up after your doggy. No pets in or around the swimming pool please.

We ask R50 per pet per night. We have three lovelable dogs, Petunia our chocolate labby very old lady, Daisy our chocolate labby baby and Fritz the cuddly jack russell pavement special. Please don't give our dogs anything other than prime meat with no fat and no bones.

Dankie vir ons heerlikke oorslaap in Aardvark. Jul hartlike ontvangs, die genot om met n koffie en beskuit die son se laaste strale teen die Langeberge (van ons stoep af) te bewonder en die sit en droom terwyl n worsie met die kole gesels, het ons batterye weer gelaai vir die nuwe kwartaal. Sterkte met jul onderneming. Daar is min plekke wat met jul netjiese huisies, lieflike omgewing en billike prys kan meeding.
