Hideout @ Old Mill Drift has two bedrooms. The large main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a single bed. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds or a King-size bed. There is a large bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. Linen is provided. Please bring your own bath towels. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, toast, two plate gas cooker, fridge / freezer and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery needed. There is a dining area with a six-seater dining table and benches. The lounge has a three-seater and two-seater leather couch. There are also two single beds which double as couches or can be made up as a Queen-size bed for those romantics who like to sleep in front of the fireplace. The veranda has two couches and a dining table. There is also a hammock, wood braai and a fire-urn. There is ample secure parking on site. Pets are welcome by arrangement and at an additional fee. The large garden has a grassed pet enclosure (15cm bonnox fence so little dogs can get out).

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
