About Maggie's Gift

Maggie's Gift is a self catering guest cottage, attached to the main house on the property, but with its own separate entrance. From here you are within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and cafes.

Self Catering Accommodation

This lovely Victorian style cottage sleeps four guests in two en-suite bedrooms. The main room has a Queen-size bed and the second room has two single beds that can be made up into a King-size bed if preferred. Each of the en-suite bathrooms has a shower.

The lounge has comfortable seating and a dining nook with sliding doors leading out onto a covered patio with two day beds where you can stretch out with a view of the garden and the mountains. There is a Smart TV with DStv EasyView, a DVD / CD player, and a small selection of DVD's are provided.

The modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you will require including a 2 plate hob and microwave oven, a large fridge/freezer, a kettle and toaster, crockery and cutlery and a dishwasher. Tea, coffee, sugar and basic condiments are provided.

Guests have the use of a large built in braai or a small weber (charcoal only in the weber).

There is secure parking and a burglar alarm system for security use when you leave the premises.

We enjoyed the accommodation. The decor is tasteful the whole, beautifully appointed. Lovely garden, the iceberg roses were enchanting. The agent who gave us the keys and welcomed us was very responsive to our requests. It was very interesting and rather unfortunate that on three occasions we had beggars come onto the property, some were very persistent despite the responses in the negative to their importunate demands, others were bullying and intimidating. Eventually we called the security company for their presence and to ensure that the beggars moved off because they looked set to stay until we had given in to their demands.

The noise levels coming from the main house(only seperated by a sliding door) was very disturbing in the second bedroom. You can't help to hear every movement and conversation.
