Hout Bay Backpackers is a quiet and comfortable backpacker lodge in the beachside suburb of Hout Bay. Just 20 minutes from Cape Town, and easily accessible by public transport, the hostel suits budget travellers wanting to explore Hout Bay (restaurants, harbour, beach, Seal Island, World of Birds) and discerning backpackers looking for a place from which to hike Table Mountain National Park.

Situated in the beautiful fishing village of Hout Bay, a 20 minute scenic drive along the coastal road from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Hout Bay Backpackers is one of the more upmarket backpacker lodges in Cape Town.

Accommodation

Large house set right over the road from Hout Bay beach, with a large communal lounge with fire place and fully equipped communal kitchen with panoramic views all across Hout Bay with a fenced and gated car park.

Double Room / Family Room:
We have large double rooms both with extra sleeping room for children or friends, very large en suite bathroom, sea views, tea and coffee and access to inter leading balcony.

Dorm Rooms:
We have luxury four bed en-suite dorm rooms with sea views with access to an inter leading balcony and two ground floor en-suite dorms.

With panoramic views of Hout Bay, Chapman's Peak and the beach there is no better place to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck, or breakfast in the sun.
