Inkungu Lodge is nestled in the heart of Champagne Valley, and is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Drakensberg mountain range. A boutique hotel that offers visitors an exclusive escape from the rest of the world, Inkungu Lodge specialises in luxury getaways.
A new luxury mountain retreat, beautifully constructed from sandstone and thatch and artistically wrapped around an infinity pool. All rooms open onto a private patio or balcony from which one can soak up the spectacular mountain views of the Champagne Valley in the Central Drakensberg.
Accommodation
A total of 8 luxury rooms (four double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two suites) all with beautiful bathrooms en-suite, flat screen DSTV and air-conditioning make up this intimate venue, with four lounges and other cozy hideaways added to the luxurious mix. Fireplaces make for winter warmth and atmosphere. Historic antique furniture will charm the discerning collector.
Breakfast
Generous breakfasts are included in the rates, and delicious cuisine in four course gourmet dinners are on offer, in intimate candlelit country quiet.
Activities and Attractions
Inkungu Lodge is centrally situated between three major resorts and two excellent golf courses. There is much to do and see in this beauty spot of South Africa. Long or short hikes, horse rides, mountain climbing, trout fishing (we have a trout dam on the estate) and close by are tennis, golf, river rafting, canyoning, kloofing, ziplining and a newly opened canopy tour.
For the less sports minded there are wonderful arty meanders with unexpected treasures to be acquired or admired, amidst dainty coffee shops with delectable temptations. Try and fit in a concert at the famed Drakensberg Boys Choir School. You won't be sorry.

The lodge is indeed very beautiful with a lovely pool and a stunning view from the terrace. The breakfast and dinner served are delicious, and the host is friendly and helpful. It's only a 15-minute drive to the Monk's Cowl hiking area, making it a highly recommended place to stay.

What a lovely place in the mountains (Great view of the mountains), with hospitality that enhances the experience even more. Good food and a variety of wines enhances the experience even more.
