About inniKloof

InniKloof is found in the secluded Honey Clough Valley which is on the eastern side of the Baviaans Mega Reserve and the Garden Route.

The family farm, Honey Clough, has been in the possession of the Wait family since 1822 and is situated at the foot of the Winterhoek Mountains in the Eastern Cape. The farm lies in the fertile Gamtoos Valley, 12km from the small rural town, Hankey, and is adjacent to the spectacular Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area, a World Heritage Site.

The closest town is Hankey (12km), the oldest town in the valley. There one can visit the graves of Sarah Baartman and Rev. Phillips, the founder of the town. Hankey also has one of the best 9-hole golf courses in South Africa.

Self Catering Accommodation

We offer four cottages. Each cottage has a large double bedroom as well as a second room for three guests (sleeping five guests in total). Extra beds and a baby cot can be added if required. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a fridge, hotplate, microwave, electric frying pan, toaster and kettle. A gas geyser supplies hot water for the shower and basins. The spacious lounge provides enough place for relaxing and reading.

Facilities

There are outside braai areas and the lapa offers a cool, shady place where guests can gather around the braai (wood is available). A huge natural swimming hole will offer a welcome respite during the summer months.

Regretfully we cannot allow pets as this is a wilderness area.
Please note that smoking is prohibited in the houses.

Activities and Attractions

We are constantly adding to the list of activities by expanding the hiking trails and coordinating with our neighbouring establishments to offer motorcycle and mountain bike routes. Some nearby attractions include the Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve, AfricanDawn Animal Sanctuary and the Addo Elephant National Park.
