About Kandelaars Cottage
Kandelaars Cottage is a self-catering farmhouse located off the R328 highway, situated approximately 10 km from Oudtshoorn on a working ostrich farm. The cottage is tucked away, just far enough to have the countryside feel, yet it is easily accessible for guests to and from their desired destinations.
Kandelaars Cottage is lovingly restored; the surroundings of hilltops, the Kandelaars River, the neighbouring farmlands and ostrich farms, all add to this quaint cottage's unmistakable charm.
Self Catering Accommodation
Kandelaars Cottage can accommodate up to eight guests and comprises of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The main bedroom is fitted with a double bed and features an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and a basin. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with an en-suite shower and the third and fourth bedrooms each have two single beds as well as a shared bathroom with a shower, basin and a toilet. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and contains the necessary appliances to prepare and cook meals. The living area has wicker furniture and leads out onto the verandah, which offers lovely views of the area.
Behind the house there are BBQ / braai facilities for guests to make use of. Secure parking is available for vehicles.

The cottage has been beautifully renovated with tasteful interior. We loved the personal touches of fresh flowers and the thoughtful gift of bread, jam and wine. The property was spotless.
